As a local public authority, we are keen to support the development of future technical specialists working in our industry, so are offering a Level 2 Apprenticeship. Our Apprentice will be working alongside our mechanic undertaking a variety of repairs and maintenance to our vehicles both on and off site.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Key Responsibilities are - Assist the Mechanic to:
- Maintain tractors, self-propelled agricultural machinery and other plant and equipment
- Undertake planned maintenance and servicing of the Equipment
- Carry out reactive repairs to equipment both in workshop and field settings
- Manage an inventory of certain tools and equipment
- Any other duties relevant to the apprenticeship
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Land-based Service Engineer apprenticeship standard, which includes:
Day release at Bishop Burton College
End-Point Assessment (EPA)
Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
Training will be provided mostly in the workplace with an assessor coming to visit on a regular basis to do work-based reviews, assessments, and observations
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
After successful completion of the Level 2 qualification there may be an opportunity to progress to a relevant Level 3 qualification within our organisation.
Completion of your apprenticeship with us could lead to you being offered a permanent role working as a Mechanic, Engineer, Asset Manager, Project Manager or within our Operational Team.
