What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Deliver the IT Services quote / order / delivery process in line with the agreed IT Services and Corporate Policies and Procedures
  • To be responsible for the delivery and storage of IT refresh equipment within IT Services and to manage its authorised release to other members of IT Services or customers
  • To ensure all required systems are updated as part of the order, delivery, build and installation process
  • To assist with the preparation of redundant IT equipment for disposal e.g., the destruction of data, the removal of asset tags
  • To manage the allocated IT stores to ensure they are kept clean, tidy and well organised and that they comply with all Health and Safety regulations
  • To actively participate in training and professional development as required by the service and the apprentice

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Business Administration level 3.

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviour in relation to, customer service principles and practices, business principles, technical competencies, knowledge and understating, research activities, commercial awareness o managing challenging situations and taking ownership, health and safety. Ongoing assessment by the employer and provider - for example meetings with apprentice, employer and learning provider, observations of workplace, gathering evidence Undertake a self-assessment in the last month of their apprenticeship to enable them to see whether they are confident that they have taken on board all aspects of the occupation. This self-assessment must be submitted to the independent end point assessor as a source of evidence to prepare for independent End Point Assessment which will include a showcase portfolio; a project; an employer reference and a structured interview about their portfolio and project.
