What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be working alongside qualified and experienced gardeners to help with:

  • Mowing lawns
  • Planting
  • Cutting hedges
  • Laying patios and slabs
  • Helping design gardens to the customer’s requirements

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Horticulture Level 2
  • One day at DCG and the rest of the week at the workplace
  • Emergency first aid: Level 3 award in emergency first aid at work
  • Pesticides: Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides Guidance OR Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides
