    We run a flexible working week. Total hours for the week will be 37 but you will have to be available Monday-Thursday 10:00 – 14:30 and Friday 10:00 - 12:30. How you make up the other hours is up to you, your team and business need.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Non-destructive testing of composite material samples using Ultrasonic, Thermal and Radiographic methods
  • Precision measurement of composite material samples using a range of Metrology equipment and technologies
  • Writing and delivering inspection reports giving the results of the measurement and inspection performed
  • Working within a team of skilled and experienced inspectors and engineers to develop innovative approaches to the measurement and inspection of novel materials and manufacturing processes

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Non-destructive testing engineering technician level 3
  • All training and learning to be delivered on site

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Opportunity to join the team as a permanent NDT Technician, with progression to Research Engineer with further study for the right person.
