What will the apprentice be doing?
Turbo Systems Ltd in Hull is looking for two enthusiastic apprentices who can join their sales and accounts administration teams.
Responsibilities will include:
- Booking jobs onto the system and learning how to coordinate spares orders with guidance from senior employees
- Liaising with other departments in the company, including chasing up production for orders, making sure orders leave stores on time, making sure customers have paid with accounts
- Speaking with customers on the phone
- Taking messages about spares and service requirements, and eventually learning to deal with enquiries yourself
- General administration duties to support the team
- Data entry

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The successful candidate will be required to undertake training sessions with Avant Skills Academy every other week throughout the length of the apprenticeship.
If you have not achieved a GCSE grade 4 (C) in English and maths or equivalent, you will be required to complete Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths.
As part of the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard, you will learn the knowledge, skills and behaviours which will support you for your end-point assessment.
You will take part in a combination of activities, such as face-to-face classroom-based sessions, remote learning sessions, work shadowing and online learning, to support your learning and development and compile a portfolio of evidence.
End-Point Assessment (EPA):
At the end of the on-programme learning, you will be required to undertake an End-Point Assessment (EPA) to demonstrate you have met the occupational standard

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Continued employment, and excellent developmental and progression opportunities within the organisation.
With experience, you could progress to a supervisor or office manager. You could also move into other departments, like IT, payroll or accounting.
With further training, you could specialise in an area like legal, financial or medical administration, or become a personal assistant or executive officer.
