What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Assisting on the global support queue in Service Now.
  • Assisting in the starters and leavers process within the European time zone and maintaining the local stock record.
  • Ensure tickets are logged in Service Now, customers kept updated and issues resolved within agreed service levels.
  • Proactively research and report on issues to the IT Manager with suggested improvements.
  • Assist users to install, configure, and troubleshoot PC/Infrastructure Hardware & Software, Copitrak, Mitel, SCCM, knowledge of backups and mobile phone support.
  • Experience and an understanding of Microsoft products. Windows 10, Azure, Windows Server 2016 onwards, and Microsoft Office.
  • Provide local support for standard desktop applications – MS Office 2016, Outlook, Citrix, and Windows 10.
  • Assist with local projects.
  • Work in collaboration with other departments within the business.
  • Ensuring the team’s knowledge base is maintained.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:

  •  Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
  • Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
  • Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance.
  • Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
  • Support the information systems needs for your business.
