What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties include:

  • Assisting the qualified staff with the day-to-day care of the children including cleaning, nappy changing and feeding.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure a smooth running of setting.
  • Planning and completing activities with the children. This role requires you to be able to work as a team and provide the activities for children that are fun, enjoyable, challenging and age appropriate. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Early years educator level 3 qualification.

Training will be delivered online/on employer site and managed by our assessors. Training includes.

  • Child protection (additional online training)
  • Paediatric first aid 
  • Allergy training / food safety


20% off the job training guaranteed (7 hours out of 35 in working week) will go to training. Whether this be in the form of a "day off" or allocated during the working week is agreed upon by the employer
