What will the apprentice be doing?
Urban Meadows provide a complete landscaping solution from design to construction. We strive to create harmony between urban and natural environments by conceptualising, constructing, cultivating and caring for London’s gardens.
The duties you will be involved with, and trained on, would focus mainly on landscape construction and include:
- Labouring, clearance and excavating
- Paving, decking, pergolas and roof top gardens
- Planting trees, shrubs and other plants
- Crafting bespoke outdoor features
- Irrigation
You would gain skills and knowledge of horticultural operations including pruning, formal bedding and other aspects of landscape maintenance. A range of hand tools, powered tools and machines are used, and work is always conducted to a high standard. There will
be regular interaction with clients and/or residents, and so a polite, well presented representative of the business is a very important quality.
No two weeks are the same, and a desire to be proud of what you have achieved, is vital. We are a hardworking and skilled team and have an excellent working team environment. We are passionate about what we do and want to open this opportunity up to someone who has a similar passion about nature and crafting as we do.
