Over many years, we’ve gained a great reputation and refined our tapas & small plate concept, we are now looking for an Apprentice Chef to join our team, you’ll get one to one training with an experienced Chef and over time you’ll help with menu development and become an integral part of our ever growing business.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Preparation of menu using fresh ingredients
- Supporting a senior Chef during busy service
- Learning new ingredients & techniques
During the early part of the week, the mornings would consist mainly of bringing in deliveries, cleaning and organisation the kitchen. Later in the morning you would be learning how to prep our menu and shown how to plan your time efficiently. Evenings would consist of supporting a senior Chef during service, plating and cooking at times. Close down at the end of the evening would involve learning best practises in storage food safety and cleaning thoroughly.
Weekends would normally involve more emphasis on service and being part of a larger team, with more involvement in dealing with FOH staff.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and regular college attendance. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Hospitality Team Member Level 2 standard. On completion the apprentice will receive Hospitality Team Member – Food Production qualification. Functional Skills in Maths and English may also be required depending on current level.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Commis Chef, with a view to a more senior position.
