What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Sales order handling and dispatch
  • Answering and redirecting incoming telephone calls
  • Helping to accurately maintain the customer database
  • Opening and distributing incoming mail, as required
  • Ordering stationery and office supplies, as required
  • Helping to administer the Returns Database
  • Helping to organize evaluation units to customers, as required
  • Receiving visitors; Arranging refreshments for company meetings and visitors
  • Dealing with any filing, printing, copying.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The applicant will be working towards a Lv3 Business Administrator Qualification.All aspects of support work in a manufacturing company including but limited to the below : 

  • Maintaining inventory of sales literature
  • Sending out sales literature, as required
  • Manufacturing and Engineering system support
  • Sales Office administration support
  • Finance administration support
  • General administrative assistance around the company

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

A full-time, permanent role, moulded appropriately by the obtained apprenticeship and strengths of the candidate. This may also lead on to further education or internal training if required.
