We are a small family run business that specialises in carpets, vinyls and hard flooring. The company operates in both domestic and commercial projects. We are looking to give someone the opportunity to learn all aspects of flooring and to work with and learn from an experienced team of floor layers.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- General labour duties
- Prep work
- Uplifting of old floors
- Dealing with customers
- Handling materials
- Gaining knowledge of fitting on a gradual timescale
- Shadowing experienced floor layers
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Over 30 months the apprentice will learn how to prepare and install both carpet and vinyl floorcoverings. They will work towards their end point assessment for the Floorlayer Level 2.
The training will take place at Floortrain Centre in Doncaster on a day release basis. Training will also take place in the work place alongside the training provider.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
After successfully completing, the apprentice will continue to learn and improve upon the skills learnt and in time would become a recognised floor layer.
