You will be working with skilled engineers. You will be working in the machine shop and trained to use all machinery and equipment; which includes gear cutting, slotting grinding machines, milling, turning and lathes. You will learn how to operate a variety of tools, and machinery to a high standard, as well as complying with all H&S guidelines.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Due to growth and demand, this company are now looking to employ an apprentice who will learn the following
- Conventional Milling and lathe usage
- Turning machines
- Gear cutting
- Slotting grinding machines
- CNC machines
- Understand drawings and working to customer specifications
- Learning how to work safely around machinery
- Learning how to use preventative measures before running a machine.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will undertake a Level 3 Apprenticeship and achieve the Level 3 Engineering Technician Standard, which is a 42-month programme where you will receive full training, mentoring and support on the job and attend Sandwell College for 1 day per week.
