What will the apprentice be doing?

As a Business Admin Apprentice, you will be undertaking general administration duties as well as assisting colleagues.

Your duties would include:

  • Photocopying.
  • Scanning and filing.
  • Preparation/editing and updating of documents as instructed.
  • Keeping client records updated.
  • Assisting colleagues when needed.
  • Hospitality during guest visits.
  • Reception duties including answering the phone.
  • Pass messages to the correct person.
  • Responding to emails in a timely manner.
  • General administration duties.
  • Greeting visitors.
  • General office duties.
  • Support the business and assist in the smooth running of the office.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 3 Business Administration at Stockton Riverside College.
  • Functional Skills Maths & English, if required.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Three-month probationary period, after which the role will be permanent.
  • Office administrator position available in the future.
