What will the apprentice be doing?

As an Apprentice you will be working in partnership with the setting to ensure the daily running of the class, adhering to the policies and procedures of the setting and in compliance with the Children’s Act, Health and Safety Legislations and within the guidelines of Ofsted.

 

You will help to encourage children in the early stages of their education to develop their independence, self-reliance, initiative and problem-solving skills. You will do this by working in a way that promotes inclusivity of all children by ensuring all have equal access to opportunities to learn, develop and reach their potential. You will learn on the job and benefit from having qualified practitioners to mentor you and support you through your qualification.

Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification

Relevant training will be provided through Lancaster and Morecambe College in order to complete the programme.

Functional Skills may also have to be completed.
