What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Setting up of newly won jobs in Simpro and ensure all supporting documents are saved on the system.
  • Supporting the energy analyst team in chasing up energy supplier bills.
  • First response for office phone calls.
  • Ensuring all schedules are input into job management system Simpro.
  • Use Simpro to schedule labour for projects and service & maintenance visits and tasks on a weekly basis and as changes occur.
  • Logging new enquiries as part of sales process.
  • Ordering materials and subsequent receipting.
  • Administrative tasks including new Suppliers/ New Customer forms and associated tasks.
  • Support with RAMS and site coordination.
  • Undertake Simpro System Admin.
  • Management of employee site attendance.
  • On -boarding and off boarding of sub-contractors, ensuring all paperwork and documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Daily check in with engineers to ensure on-task and resolve initial problems as appropriate.
  • Undertaking admin tasks in support of the Office Administration Team.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The apprentice will be working towards the Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship standard.
  • All delivered within the work place via online training and at Colchester Institute Campus.
