What will the apprentice be doing?

We are looking for an enthusiastic sales driven person who works well as part of a team. The Bed Shop in Cannock are looking to recruit a Junior Sales Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in learning Sales techniques, Customer care skills and reaching for targets. There will also be occasions you will be making deliveries out to the customers. So customer service will be key. There will be training around product knowledge, and administrative duties, including taking payments. There will also be the delivery of stock to addresses.

Duties to include:

  • Helping customers in store choosing the right bed/frame/mattress/accessories.
  • Answering the phone and dealing with online enquiries.
  • Making deliveries to customers homes.
  • Unloading deliveries of goods.
  • Taking payments.
  • Ordering stock/stock taking.
  • Displays and merchandising.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Customer service practitioner Level 2.
  • Math's and English functional skills if required.
  • 20% off the job training.
  • End point assessment.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

A full time position will be offered upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
