What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Carry out a range of carpentry tasks throughout the construction process
  • Install building components, i.e. door and window frames, floor joists and coverings, partitions and staircases
  • Ensure all work is completed to the company's high standards and in line with health and safety requirements 
  • Support colleagues in the workplace 
  • Uphold the company's reputation and high levels of customer service at all times

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and block release college attendance. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Carpentry & Joinery L2 standard. On completion the apprentice will receive NRQ L2 Site Carpentry qualification. Functional Skills in Maths and English may also be required depending on current level.   

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There may be the possibility for the right candidate to remain in a permanent role within the business after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
