Two trainee production operatives required to gain all round experience in working with our two modern ERW tube mills that have the capacity to produce 50,000 tonnes per annum, including bundling tubes for storage, unloading parts from lorries, changing and cleaning rolls, inspection and completion of documentation for traceability purposes.

What will the apprentice be doing?
The duties for the apprentice will include:
- Measuring the length of the tube and recording
- Tip up bundles of tube and place them into stock racks
- Unloading parts from lorries and storing onto racks
- Change and clean rolls during a roll change
- Liaise with others for next jobs and missing rolls
- Inspect and maintain a quality tube
- Fill out relevant paperwork to enable traceability
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
This is a level 2 Lean Manufacturing apprenticeship, delivered over a period of 12 months. You will attend In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, Walsall, WS9 8UG, for the first two weeks for induction and introduction to the training. After this your assessor will arrange monthly visits to see you at the company site.
