What will the apprentice be doing?

The successful applicant must be hard-working and willing to work as part of a team. Duties will include:

  • Reception duties
  • Answering telephone enquiries
  • Greeting customers
  • Assisting therapists and other associated duties as required such as; hand and nail treatments, foot treatments, facials, basic massages, eye treatments and waxing

You will be required to work full-time within the salon, including Saturdays

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Training will be provided daily in the salon by the salon team supported by Saks Apprenticeships with the aim to complete the qualification for the Beauty Therapy Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Professionals.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

After you have completed your Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Professionals (Beauty Therapist) you will be a fully qualified beauty therapist and will be able to work independently within your salon.

You will be able to develop your skills further by advancing onto our Level 3 Wellbeing and Holistic Therapy Apprenticeship Standard, which will allow you to increase your knowledge add to your skill set and become ever more valuable to your salon.

Things to consider

Once you have successfully completed the program you will be submitted for your End Point Assessment. The EPA is an assessment of all the knowledge, skills and behaviours you have learned throughout your apprenticeship, it confirms you are ready and competent in the career path you have chosen. These assessments have been designed and developed, by employers in the beauty industry, to reflect the daily work of a beauty therapist. This makes them very sought after by employers across the industry.
