What will the apprentice be doing?
The role will involve working and training on Canon and Konica Minolta colour printers, C4 and C5 mailer machines along with a new Consolidator. The ability to understand IT systems is paramount.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- To print A4 sheets on mono and colour printers

To feed letters and inserts into envelopes using enclosers

To separate outgoing post by the way of a consolidator

Using IT equipment to separate files onto print production software
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The successful applicant will complete on the job training with experienced staff, along on-site training at Whitefield with a BPIF training coordinator.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship the qualification achieved will be a Level 2 Print Operative certificate, plus any relevant Maths and English functional skills (if needed).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The career path for the correct individual is print operative – supervisors – assistant product manager – production manager
