What will the apprentice be doing?

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic apprentice to work alongside staff and students to create high quality stage productions. In addition to our school facilities which include purpose built auditoriums, music suites, practice rooms, recording studios and a dance studio there will be the opportunity to work in The Berry Theatre (a 306 seater professional theatre) which is located on the campus. You will work as part of the Creative Arts department during the working day. Additional hours worked over and above of the contracted working hours will be given back as TOIL. The working week will be split: Monday to Thursday will be spent working within the school and Fridays will be reserved for college training sessions and time to complete your apprentice log.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Attendance will be one day per week at college. You will receive the Creative Venue Technician Level 3 standard apprenticeship qualification, upon successful completion.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once successfully completed the apprenticeship, there is the potential to progress into full time employment, or into a higher-level apprenticeship – or potentially, both.
