What will the apprentice be doing?

OneTech has a variety of different projects, but all will involve working in a workshop environment undertaking a range of tasks:

- Producing precision components to meet the needs of our customers

- Understanding and reading of technical engineering drawings

- Operating various machines including manual and CNC Millers and Lathes.

As we are a small business, there is also the opportunity to become multi-skilled across several production processes.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The apprentice will be supported and mentored by staff at OneTech Engineering whilst at work.

The apprentice will also attend Qualitrain Engineering Academy in Alfreton, once a week on day-release, for the duration of their apprenticeship. 

You will complete your off-the-job Machining training at QEA and will achieve 4 qualifications as part of your Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship, below is a breakdown of the 4 quals.

- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 2 Diploma in Machining (Foundation Knowledge)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) - Machining
- Level 3 Diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge)

OneTech and Qualitrain will teach you the skills you need to build the foundations of an exciting and long-lasting career within our business. When you complete your apprenticeship, there will be an opportunity to progress to a more senior role at our company.
