What will the apprentice be doing?

Main Duties

·       Work with mentor to learn how to weld and fabricate sheet metalwork

·       Linishing and sanding of panels

·       Spot welding

·       Understanding drawings

·       Using hand and power tools to assist

·       Ensure use of correct PPE that’s provided

·       Work in a safe and tidy way at all times


What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will study at Sandwell College for you Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship.  You will be required to attend on a day release basis at the Spon Lane Campus

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

On successful completion of the apprenticeship you will be considered for a full time position
