What will the apprentice be doing?

We are working with an established company with a great reputation who make precision chains for a wide range of sectors throughout the world.
They are looking for an apprentice to work in their fully equipped tool room.
You will be taught all aspects of tool making including:
When machines are not used you will hone your bench work skills using files, micrometres Vernier’s and other small tools. You will be taught how to read engineering drawings.
Full training will be given in the use of all machinery by a highly skilled tool maker.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will attend Sandwell College one day a week to study for your Engineering Technician Level 3 as well as receiving training and mentoring at work.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will have opportunity to progress in the business to a possible team leader position.
