What will the apprentice be doing?
- Vinyl applicator and General Assembly Operative
- Manufacturing hand built illuminatied letters, block acrylic and aluminium fascia signs, from start to finish
- CNC machining of sheet media, manual handling
- General assembly; cleaning, applying VHB tape, general assembly using drills, screwdrivers, pliers etc.
- Part of a team, instruction and tasks given by team leader.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Advanced Level Signmaking apprenticeship
Functional skills Level 2 in Maths and English (if required)
Training will take place on a day release basis at Hull Training's Engineering Center.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity of full-time employment upon completion of the advanced apprenticeship if available.
