What will the apprentice be doing?

Tasks to include:

Customer Services:

  • Respond to customer information requests relating to their social housing
  • Support the compliance team respond to new and developing legislation around building safety changes which impact on compliance
  • Develop compliance performance reports for reporting back to building occupiers

Working together:

  • Work with the compliance team to develop new database
  • Support HIS staff with the transition and understanding and uses of new systems and solutions
  • Spend time with relevant project officers to understand compliance core subjects

Gathering and managing information:

  • Input existing building safety records into new IT solutions
  • Work with the compliance team to establish compliant data processes

Problem Solving:

  • Analyse compliance records to identify non-compliance
  • Suggest potential solutions to satisfy legislative requirements
  • Support with the establishing of compliance reports which satisfy public, management and freedom of information requests

Tools and Equipment:

  • Manage the migration of records from existing sources

Communication Skills:

  • Effectively communicate with key stakeholders to share information in accordance with data protection, satisfying the audience expectations and pitched at the correct level

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Public Service Operational Delivery Officer Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • Level 2 Award in Operational Delivery (Principles)
  • Level 3 Certificate in Operation Delivery (Advanced).
  • End Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Functional Skills in maths, English if required
  • Regular training and development sessions to meet the needs of the employer and the apprentice

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity of full time employment upon completion of the advanced apprenticeship if available.
