What will the apprentice be doing?

A normal day in the life of a Celestra IT Apprentice will look something like:


✩     Working in collaboration with the Technical Services Coordinator to configure and test equipment to ensure software has been installed prior to being sent to the customer’s premises

✩     Working in conjunction with the Warehouse team to assist with identification and verification of products

✩     Carry out site builds by connecting to the client’s server

✩     Perform quality control checks/ system checks

✩     Evaluate hardware for functionality

Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as may reasonably be required

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 IT Solution Technician Apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Functional Skills in maths and English if required
  • 15 month programme 
  • Online webinars with tutors

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Configuration Technician role / IT / Projects within the business upon completion, future training and progression
