What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Ensure each customer receives a warm and friendly welcome and excellent service for the duration of their visit
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety at all times
  • Taking, helping prepare and serving customers with their food and drink orders, ensuring knowledge of the menu and offers
  • Clearing and cleaning tables and operating the dishwash area
  • Replenishment of displays and cabinets
  • Assist in food preparation
  • Handle cash transactions
  • Assist at functions both internally and externally when required
  • Carry out such other duties as may be necessary for the proper execution of the post General Responsibilities
  • Attend and participate in training courses as directed, including safeguarding
  • Uphold the Cathedral’s values and code of conduct
  • Adhere to Wells Cathedral’s policies and procedures, treating any safeguarding issues with the highest priority

  • A Level 2 Hospitality Team Member qualification will be achieved upon completion
  • Training will take place one day a week at Strode College
  • Strode College will be managing applications for this vacancy
