What will the apprentice be doing?
- Ensure each customer receives a warm and friendly welcome and excellent service for the duration of their visit
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety at all times
- Taking, helping prepare and serving customers with their food and drink orders, ensuring knowledge of the menu and offers
- Clearing and cleaning tables and operating the dishwash area
- Replenishment of displays and cabinets
- Assist in food preparation
- Handle cash transactions
- Assist at functions both internally and externally when required
- Carry out such other duties as may be necessary for the proper execution of the post General Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in training courses as directed, including safeguarding
- Uphold the Cathedral’s values and code of conduct
- Adhere to Wells Cathedral’s policies and procedures, treating any safeguarding issues with the highest priority
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- A Level 2 Hospitality Team Member qualification will be achieved upon completion
- Training will take place one day a week at Strode College
- Strode College will be managing applications for this vacancy
