What will the apprentice be doing?

  • You will work within the Bereavement Services Team, gaining skills, knowledge and experience of burial and cremation services supporting colleagues in the delivery of the service.
  • You will assist colleagues within the team with administrative and operational work relating to burial and cremation services.
  • You will answer telephone and email enquiries from members of the public, funeral directors and clergy.
  • You will assist in accurately recording information in computer and paper systems. 
  • You will assist in the preparation/production of monthly statistics and in the preparation of invoices and accounts.
  • In your role you will also assist with front of house meeting and greeting the funeral cortege on arrival.

  • Business Administration Level 3.
  • Training to be undertaken by Heart of England Training. 
  • Training to be undertaken by day release.
