What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be working in Production, learning sausage and burger recipes, and how to make the perfect product to fulfil catering and retail orders. 

You will learn our secret dry curing technique and be trained on all machinery required to cure and slice our cured products.

The rest of the day is making stock for the following days.

Things to consider

It is hard work and can be physically demanding. In the winter it is a cold environment to work in, but if you are motivated you will not be too affected by this. Butchery is a skills shortage so if you are proficient and qualified you can earn a good living.

About the employer

We are a family run business with a cutting plant, production unit and 4 retail outlets. So, there is a lot of scope for someone wanting to learn butchery in a smaller, safe environment.
