What will the apprentice be doing?

The job will be primarily based from our office in Sutton Coldfield, with options for remote working. We have a diverse range of clients and industries you will be working with, such as education, construction, health, and community-based companies, and pride ourselves on making a big impact on their growth success as a direct result of our creative, innovative ideas.

In this role, you will work with our team of designers creating concepts, setting up artwork, liaising with clients and actioning client amends, and preparing final files to specifications for print / digital use. You will be trained in using the suite of Adobe apps to create artwork for projects.

You will also liaise with our creative network of associates to enhance the experience and outcomes for our clients, such as marketing consultants, copywriters, photographers and website designers.

Day to day duties:

  • Learning to use Adobe Suite – including Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator -  to create artwork for clients.
  • Meeting with clients to discuss projects.
  • Following instructions for design amendments.
  • Setting up artwork for digital and print use.
  • Liaising with clients on the phone and on email.
  • Becoming a creative problem solver – finding new ways to communicate visually.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will achieve a full Junior Content Producer Level 3 Standard. The training will be delivered by Birmingham Metropolitan College once per week.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • We will offer a year of Future Faces membership, which provides webinars and workshops for professional development, which we will continue should they stay beyond their Apprenticeship.
  • There will be the opportunity to stay with the company as a Junior Graphic Designer in a full-time, permanent role, beyond their Apprenticeship.
  • They will have ongoing training and opportunities to learn and develop, both personally and through job training, throughout their employment.
