What will the apprentice be doing?
Markets Business Analyst Apprentice is to undertake a wide range of administrative and basic analytical tasks in support of the Sales Desk’s and Trading Desk’s. This will allow those desk’s to better support NAB’s clients and to manage NAB’s market risk most effectively.
- Manage tasks and sign offs relating to the onboarding of new executing and introducing Brokers and multilateral trading venues. MiFID Trading Venue user validation - Validate list users and PII held for each MiFID Trading Venue
- Assistance with business continuity management and disaster recovery testing and planning
- Support Markets LT to create any other ongoing or ad-hoc reporting requirements as required (examples being client pipeline, e-trading onboard/offboard stats)
- Investment Research Administration, to include registering clients for research and confirming renewal of contracts ( involves contacting clients admin team)
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Certificate of higher education (CertHE) - Level 4 Business Analyst with Fitch Learning
- Training will be completed on site and on the job as well as at on the training providers premises - both in central London
- Training will take place at least one day a week and off the job training will make up at least 6 hours per week
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Once fully qualified, you would be able to pursue a career within Markets or Divisional Controls in Banking.
- At the end of the apprenticeship, if there is a role available that you are now qualified for internally, you would be interviewed and potentially hired for this on a much higher salary. You would have to opportunity to complete additional qualifications if you wanted to continue your studies while working
- If there are no roles available internally, NAB would assist you in interviewing and applying for external roles you are now eligible for (again this would be on a much higher salary as you will now be qualified)
