What will the apprentice be doing?
Attending College to gain level 3 Mechanical Design qualification over a 3-year period.
- Creating component CAD 3D part models.
- Creating 3D Assembly models and Manufacturing instruction drawings.
- Creating Assembly bill of materials within CAD and transferring to Syspro MRP system.
- Assisting quotation team with proposal drawings of current or new products.
- Managing designs against cost restraints.
- Issuing design specification schematics using appropriate software to produce wiring diagrams.
- Work in conjunction with other technical departments within Space Engineering at our facilities in Pucklechurch.
- Attend tier meetings.
- Liaising with Suppliers and ensuring we receive the best value and quality.
- Learn different processes.
- Develop new and efficient plant design to match requirements for new projects.
- Ensuring all work is completed on time and up to a good standard.
