What will the apprentice be doing?

To provide support to the Financial Controller, Management Accountant, and the finance team:

  • Assisting Accounts Payable with invoice coding and processing payments, statement reconciliations, handling queries and reporting
  • Assisting Accounts Receivable with processing of invoices, credit control, self-billing handling queries and reporting
  • Assisting the Management Accountant with fixed assests, including additions disposals, depreciation, annual audit and reporting
  • Assisting both the Financial Controller and management Accountant with monthly and quarterly accounts and reporting, prepayments, accruals, reconciliations and reporting.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The role will require the apprentice to engage in training to complete the AAT (Association of Accounting Technician's) qualification at Hartlepool College of Further Education 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Potential to progress to work towards a CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification
