Apprentice Powered Access Engineer MARK ONE HIRE LTD

On a day-day basis you’ll work in the workshop of our Powered Access service centre learning how to maintain & operate equipment within our range. You'll learn how to diagnose faults & service the equipment and keep accurate service and maintenance records. You'll need to communicate effectively, ensuring your Manager is kept informed as required.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Based in Rawreth, Rayleigh, Mark One Hire are looking for an Apprentice Powered Access Engineer, learning all the requisite skills to keep equipment in service and delivering first class service to our customers.

The role will involve:

  •  Routine maintenance and servicing of Access equipment.
  • Diagnosis and repair of minor faults in machinery and equipment
  • Conducting Inspections of equipment.

A strong element of diagnostic skills required when dealing with any breakdowns. 

The role will require a broad based set of skills covering but not limited to, mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, mechanical fitting, electronic control systems, electrical systems and diagnostics in all of the preceding disciplines. 

The candidate will be working within the workshop and report into the Powered Access Manager.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Advanced Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard, to include-

Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations 
Level 3 Diploma in Engineering
Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The right candidate could be offered a full-time position once his or her training is completed

Things to consider

The candidate will be expected to undertake in house training courses which are held within our training centre in Rochford, Essex. Travel to & from these courses will be down to the candidate to organise.
