STL are looking for individuals to become part of our IT Support team and apprenticeship scheme, this is a central role within the STL IT team, supporting our customers and other team members within 1st/2nd Line support team looking after our IT and Communication solutions.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Provide first-class front-line IT support & service delivery to STL Customers and staff
- Work with STL ticket system and manage your tickets from start to end, or escalate to level 2
- Log and manage tickets, while keeping customers updated with your progress
- Fix first line support issues over the phone
- Be involved with hands on hardware faults
- Perform testing on new equipment in our lab and ensure ready for end user
- Set up new starters to the business on the many company platforms - AD, 365, CRM, Telephone system etc.
- Set up IT equipment when required
- Participate in regular IT meetings and bring fresh ideas to existing processes
- Work as part of a team to provide an end-to-end IT Service
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Duration:
- 13 months practical training period, plus 3 months for End Point Assessment
Delivery model:
- Work-based training with your employer
- Day release during term time (approximately 1 day a week for 1 year)
- Approximately four on-site assessment visits per year
- Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required)
- Off the job training will count for at least 20% of an apprentice’s time at work
Qualifications included:
- Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths
- Level 3 Information Communications Technician standard
End Point Assessment:
- Work based project and presentation
- Portfolio based interview
