What will the apprentice be doing?

Supporting the Purchasing Department, you’ll be learning all about how to deal with suppliers, monitor levels of stock and checking off documentation.

As a busy retail site, this department is vital to the smooth running of the business and you’ll be learning some vital skills to keep the cogs running, such as:

  • Placing orders for stocks
  • Monitoring the supply of stock and how well the suppliers are performing
  • Stock control and making sure the levels of tools and equipment are sufficient to meet the customer’s demand
  • Checking and querying supplier invoices and credit notes
  • General administration

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

During your apprenticeship, you will be studying towards your L3 Advanced Business Administrator Award, delivered by Professional Apprenticeships, who were voted the region’s best training provider and have achieved the highest Ofsted rating.

During this advanced apprenticeship, you will learn a vast range of knowledge, skills & behaviours, covering topics such as project management, systems & processes, business structures and so much more.
