We are seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Apprentice Engineer to join a well established electrical engineering company based in Low Moor, Bradford. As an apprentice you will be an integral member of our workshop team where you will receive ‘hands-on’ training, instruction on all aspects of electrical/mechanical engineering.

What will the apprentice be doing?
We are seeking an Electrical/Mechanical apprentice engineer to join a well established electrical engineering company based in Low Moor, Bradford.
As an apprentice you will be an integral member of our workshop team where you will receive ‘hands-on’ training, instruction on all aspects of electrical/mechanical engineering.
Your role will involve assisting and supporting engineers in their roles of:
· Dismantling & identifying faults with AC & DC machines, gearboxes & pumps
· Overhauling, rewinding & repairing motors, gearboxes & pumps
· Servo motor and drive systems
· Control panel design/ manufacture
· Commissioning & on-site installation
You will have the opportunity to observe, assist and learn new skills in your role, enabling you to build confidence and put your new skills in to practice as your experience develops & your training progresses.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will complete the Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard.
You will be required to attend Bradford College every Thursday throughout your apprenticeship as the training is one day per week.
You will also be required to complete maths and English Functional skills if you don't already have GCSE A-C or 9-4 (or equivalent).
