The Business Administrative Assistant will support the Business Services Manager and the UK Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with the co-ordination and administration tasks as requested. The primary function is to support with all administration tasks, be included on some large internal projects including sustainability, client events and other tasks.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Business Services Team to ensure that all BCD Offices are maintained and serviced to a high level
  • Providing admin support including reporting, data entry and meetings/diary management
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining processes
  • Provide project management and administrative support to the UK Senior Leadership Team to ensure that all actions in connection to the UK Sustainability plan are completed in a timely manner.  This also includes:

o   Taking minutes from meetings

o   Recording all agreed actions and timelines

o   Keeping the project in track

  • Organising and liaising with couriers for delivery & collections from multiple office locations
  • Responding to the Business Services enquiries inbox
  • Using IT systems to draft letters, emails, reports and maintain records

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Business Administrator Level 3, delivered via monthly Tutor led workshops (live, virtual 3 – 5 hour sessions) self-led study and blending learning and development activities, all, within the workplace.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

As with any apprenticeship opportunity – if you prove yourself to be a valuable member of the team there is a strong chance of a permanent post within the business.
