What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Carry out admin-based duties (letters/uploads/recording) related to statutory decisions made elsewhere in the service to ensure that the Local Authority adhere to the legal obligations around
    record keeping, data, decision making, and communication with children, young people, and their families.
  • Responsibility for the accuracy and upkeep of a number of Office based spreadsheets and electronic filing systems which are essential to the efficient working of the Service.
  • Undertake other general administrative tasks, including liaising with a range of professionals from different agencies, pre-meeting preparation, distributing reports and minutes and keeping accurate records.
  • Monitor the team email. To resolve the request where possible or redirect to the relevant person or team. File the relevant correspondence electronically.
  • Ensure effective, secure transfer of confidential information between the Service and partner agencies, i.e., Health, Schools and other Agencies. Open the physical post and file electronically
    as required.
  • Maintain systems, processes and key statutory requirements to ensure the smooth running of the service. To ensure that duties are performed within the Health and Safety Policy of the Council.
