What will the apprentice be doing?

To lead by example at all times in terms of conduct, attitude and work rate, including punctuality and attendance. To represent the company in terms of appearance; and work uniform being in good, clean condition. To assist with the processing of products through our powder coating line. To manually prepare and load work prior on to the lines. To quality check the work and pack the work taken off the line. To assist with housekeeping on the shop floor keep your own work area in order.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Standard Intermediate Level 2 Engineering Operative (Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Operations (competence) and
Level 2 Certificate or Diploma in Engineering Operations (knowledge),
Functional Skills Maths Level 1, Functional Skills English Level 1 if required.

Your training will be delivered on a day release basis at Hull Training's Engineering Centre (TEC).

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity of full time employment upon completion of the apprenticeship subject to meeting the employer’s requirements.

Established in 1982, MCS was built on a simple ethos, to deliver excellent reliability and always put the customer first. This principle has driven us over the past 40 years. In 1994 we moved to our current premises on Hamburg Road, Sutton Fields Industrial Estate, Hull. In 2016 we invested in a brand new pre-treatment plant and achieved approved applicator status with various powder manufacturers. Following several years of sustained growth we undertook a significant on-site expansion in 2020.
