What will the apprentice be doing?

· Meeting and greeting patients and visitors

· Answering incoming calls and booking appointments and or dealing with enquiries

· Issuing prescriptions

· Dealing with patient queries

· Dealing with the post

· Supporting doctors and nurses with call outs and general administration

 

Back-office administration:

· Scanning documentation onto clinical records

· Shredding documents

· Registering new patients and processing paperwork

· Adding any notes

· Dealing with referral letters – inputting data into templates accurately

· Checking discharge letters

· Processing prescriptions
