What will the apprentice be doing?

The Business Administration Modern Apprentices will learn about the the daily operations of the business and then play a key part in delivering effective support to the customer service and administrative functions.

Key duties and tasks will include:

  • Deliver excellent customer service to our customers
  • Build rapport, identify customer needs quickly, efficiently, and proactively 
  • Ensure all internal systems are updated and maintained with accurate and up-to-date information
  • Responding to and managing customer enquiries
  • Assistance with paperwork and document creation 
  • General administration - filing, photocopying and scanning etc.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Applications for this apprenticeship are being processed by JLMS Management and forwarded to Kip McGrath Brentwood for further CV review and interview.

Formal training usually takes place every 1 to 2 months and assessors will also be in regular contact to support learning. The programme runs for 18 months not including End Point Assessment.

Students are taught using our learning platform APTEM. You will be working towards a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

A Business Administration Apprenticeship will likely lead to a full time role within the business after completion of apprenticeship. There is always opportunity for individuals going above and beyond the norm to proceed to management positions in the future.

Things to consider

We are open 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. We are open half term breaks and closed for 2 weeks over Christmas, 1 week over Easter and 1 week over the summer holiday. Holidays must be taken within these closure times. This is an in centre position and not remote from home.
