What will the apprentice be doing?
- Assisting with the repair of items booked into the shop for repair
- Assisting with network installations
- Assisting customers face to face and over the phone with general enquiries
- General shopkeeping duties
- Assisting with on-site work i.e. fixing equipment
- Assisting with the other services we provide such as email/web hosting/VoIP/broadband
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
All training is provided on site by the business and the training centre. The assessor will visit site so there is no necessity to go to a third party.
The apprenticeship will lead to a Level 3 Information Communications Technician Qualification which is an all rounded certification, typically followed by the level 4 Network Engineer Qualification should the candidate wish to continue training. Level 5 pathways are also available for discussion.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once the apprenticeship has been completed, further apprenticeship levels are available for discussion or for the right candidate, permanent employment by the business.
