What will the apprentice be doing?
The primary role of the job will involve computer-based editing of designs to create the personalisation, which you will then print using various machines onto clothing and a variety of other items. The apprentice will be trained in the use and maintenance of all the different printers we have on site and also the use of appropriate software.
Main duties and responsibilities may include:
- Direct to garment printing
- Sublimation printing
- Using heat press
- Printing postage labels
- Cutting & weeding vinyl

- Stock taking
- Checking in deliveries
- Editing/creating graphics
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the qualification obtained will be a L3 Print Technician Apprenticeship Standard.
The apprentice will be given sufficient time to undertake their "off-the-job" requirement of the apprenticeship during their working hours.
Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both All About the Bump and the BPIF. You will be assigned a training coordinator to ensure that you have the best training available. Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit your individual needs and business needs. Most training and studying will be a combination of site-based and remote delivery.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On successful completion of the apprenticeship we would hopefully be able to offer a permanent role in the company.
