What will the apprentice be doing?

The successful candidate must have a keen eye for detail, be able to organise and prioritise their workload, with a can-do attitude, and a naturally inquiring mind. The successful candidate must hold the desire and drive to learn and progress. In return, their AAT studies will be completely supported through an apprenticeship.
This well-rounded role will expose you to key accounting functions helping you to learn essential basic skills. Your typical tasks will initially include:

  • Management of the company purchase ledger
  • Collation and posting of purchase invoices
  • Liaising with internal staff and external suppliers to resolve queries
  • Multi-currency bank reconciliations
  • Assistance with preparation of month and year-end accounts
  • Filing of US sales tax returns
  • General ad-hoc office administration

Working in a small Finance team of three, you will be reporting to the company Management Accountant. You will be placed in a perfect learning environment within a fast-growing forward thinking unique business. Your role will evolve with you as you study and grow, offering excellent progression opportunities with plenty of tasks to get stuck into when the time is right.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Training will be provided in partnership with First Intuition in Manchester who provide high quality and tailored training.

You will be attending one day a week tuition towards the AAT Level 2 Bookkeeping and AAT Level 3 qualifications at our modern city centre training centre and will be supported by a dedicated skills and development coach throughout your programme.

You will also follow our Impact Skills programme to help you build the professional skills you need to support you in building your career in finance.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Potential progression in terms of taking on additional responsibilities as the business grows and the ability to progress onto further accounting qualifications.
