    After successful completion of Year 1 you will automatically be placed on the National Minimum Wage rate for your age group. We offer a Bi-annual bonus scheme, overtime at an enhanced rate, loyalty holidays, the option to buy holidays and many more.

    IF UNDER 18: 8.30am–5.00pm Monday – Thursday and 8.30am–4.00pm every Friday. You will not work on Saturdays. IF OVER 18: 7.30/8.00am–4.30/5.00pm Monday – Friday. Occasional overtime on Saturdays.

What will the apprentice be doing?

GAP Group Apprentices are a key in ensuring our Depots have the right level of expertise, today, tomorrow and in future.

Our 2 year Apprenticeship Programme covers all the essential skills and principles you will need to become a HSC and you’ll learn how to run an effective hire desk, including stock control and purchasing, driving sales and managing customer queries effectively whilst co-ordinating drivers to ensure customers’ needs are met.  You’ll also study everything from customer service and sales skills to back office administration and credit control of a high-performing hire desk.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As an Apprentice Hire & Sales Co-ordinator (HSC) you will be enrolled in a blended learning programme where you will gain NVQ Level 2 as a Customer Service Practioner through a mixture of on the job experience and online training through a leading training provider

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This apprenticeship gives you all the experience and skills you need to become a Hire and Sales Coordinator. Your role will progress from the 'Apprentice Hire and Sales Coordinator' role to the 'Hire and Sales Coordinator' role on completion of your apprenticeship with GAP Group.
