What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Work in different departments to get a rounded overview of the company and the industry.  Including concept design, operational detailed design, and production engineering design. 
  • Attend industry relevant training delivered in house and by external consultants 
  • Learn about industry standards and regulations and comply with these with all information produced.   
  • Attend and participate in project design meetings with sub-contractors, consultants, inhouse project team and the client. 
  • Visit site and the factory with other members of the project team to review progress and design compliance 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The following qualifications will be gained:

English and Maths will be required to be demonstrated at Level 2;
BTEC Level 3  Construction and the Built Environment or Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Built Environment Design.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will have the chance to wark as a qualified Digital Design Technician, which in turn can lead on to other senior level roles within the organisation in design production, co-ordination, or management.
