Enjoy working with animals and doing day-to-day farming activities; including feeding calves and cows, bedding animals, health checks, rotational grazing implementation and basic livestock husbandry tasks.

What will the apprentice be doing?
You will be assisting the team of 3 in managing the cows to a high standard.
This involves some milking on rota, feeding calves, feeding cows with loader and mixer wagon.
You will help implement daily husbandry and maintenance of cows such as dry cow sorting, foot bathing, vet visits, cleaning calf hutches etc.
Applicants must be keen, and have a genuine interest in dairy farming, and ensure that cow welfare is a top priority.

L2 General Farm worker apprenticeship
Emergency first aid: HABC Level 3 Award Emergency First Aid at Work.
City & Guilds Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides Guidance or Lantra Safe use of Pesticides
You will be required to attend Wiltshire college and university centre at their Lackham campus one day a week during term time.
Apprentices without level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this level and apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to take the tests for this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
May lead to continued employment for the right candidate on completion of the apprenticeship.
