What will the apprentice be doing?

Key Tasks

·        Check and process timesheets

·        Generate costing sheets and send to clients, requesting purchase order numbers

·        Process payroll on Sage 50 and send payments to bank

·        Generate invoices and send to clients

·        Update Sage 50 accounts

·        Investigate and respond to pay queries

·        Invoice queries and credit control

·        Supplier invoices

·        Printing timesheets and inputting hours to the system

·        Printing, scanning, and emailing invoices to clients

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will gain a Level 2 qualification in Accounts or Finance Assistant, provided by Doncaster College. You will also gain your AAT Level 2 in Accounting as part of the apprenticeship.

Training will be largely on the job with some study sessions and time with your course tutor. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

You can commence your career within accounts/finance and either continue on the route of accounting or take a side step into another specialism with the finance remit.
